Our Vessel
The 37 foot "Mister Matthew" is a traditional Bay of Fundy fishing vessel, called a Cape Islander
or Novi boat. These sturdy vessels are well adapted to the Bay of Fundy's strong tides and
currents.
Fisherman change the gear and rigging so these versatile boats can be used for trapping
lobster, dragging for scallops, catching ground fish or whalewatching.
Our vessel was a lobster boat on the Nova Scotia shore for ten years before we acquired her for
conversion to a passenger vessel. It is Coast Guard approved for 20 passengers and goes
through a rigorous inspection every year by Transport Canada for your safety. We also have
bathroom facilities on board.
We don't serve drinks or snacks onboard, but feel free to bring your own.
